Talk Psychology
Empowering working Mums to thrive in the workplace

About Me
I'm Dr Claire Vowell, a Counselling Psychologist, passionate about using talking therapy to help people manage challenges in their lives and find ways to grow and fulfil their potential. I provide a warm, trusting and non-judgemental space, to allow clients to explore difficult emotions, feelings and thoughts.

I offer evidence-based treatment for an array of psychological issues, including depression, anxiety disorders, difficulties coping with bereavement, low self-esteem, work-related stress, relationship problems and adjustment to life changes. I am experienced in a range of therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and person-centred approaches, as well as narrative therapy, and work integratively to provide each client with an individually tailored treatment plan.
I have wide-ranging clinical experience across the lifespan, having worked in a variety of settings. This includes practising in both NHS primary care and charities, incorporating young people’s counselling and specialist bereavement services.
In addition to my psychology training, I have a wealth of corporate experience from my previous career in communications, where I worked for major international corporations. This enables me to understand and empathise with the pressures of industry and the corporate world.
